Cellar Select Store Celebrates 50 years
Shirley and Des McGregor purchased their Te Puke store in 1960, and are set to celebrate 50 years. Having seen many changes to the industry, their business is still family run and they are proud to have a fantastic knowledge of wines to pass onto customers and assist them with their purchases. McGregor’s sell a wide range of products, however wine is their specialty – from an impressive range if you’re looking for something special, to a very active wine club. Stanley Estates Wine Distribution
Stanley Estates is thrilled to announce a new Distribution partnership with Cellar Select. Earlier in the year they released their first vintage of Sauvignon Blanc, awarded 4 stars by Winestate, and will follow later with Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Albarinio.  Cellar Select’s delighted to have them on board, as their high quality wines match perfectly to their fine wine stores. They also look forward to introducing them to Restaurants and Bars looking for diversity and individuality on their winelist.

Internationally Multi-Awarded Wine thriving in New Zealand Market
Excitement is building among Cellar Select customers with the impending release of Leconfield’s 2008 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon into New Zealand following a Gold Medal at the 2010 Royal Sydney Wine Show. , shortly followed by a second Gold Medal at this month’s Decanter Wine Awards (UK).  Leconfield Wines of South Australia is distributed solely through the Cellar Select group of retail wine stores, and following many requests is about to be released into the Bars and Restaurants in the New Zealand market.  Keryn Matthews, General Manager of Cellar Select is pleased to announce the recent success of this brand, whose vintages have been going from strength to strength in the International wine scene.

Leconfield’s Cabernet Sauvignon 2006, their highly regarded flagship wine was recently judged as the South Australian Cabernet of the Year for their 2006 vintage at the Advertiser Hyatt Wine Awards and also awarded Trophy at the prestigious International Wine and Spirits Competition in London. This wine quickly sold out but some of you may be lucky enough to find a bottle on the shelf of your local Cellar Select Store.  Ready to drink on release, it’s been earmarked for long-term cellar success by Senior Winemaker Paul Gordon.
